By providing extra hydrogen protons, a difference in concentration occurs inside the mitochondria which enhances the ATP production. The mitochondria generate ATP which is used for all processes in a plant. If a hydrogen deficit occurs, the mitochondria will stop working and the cell will eventually die.

If this process is disrupted, a plant will start to experience stress and will stop using its energy for its growth, but for its survival. A grower normally corrects this by providing other energy sources like fertilizers, light, water, heat, other supplements, etc. By supplementing hydrogen, we support and even boost the ATP process.

Stress in a plant occurs when the plant does not feel comfortable in its environment, due to temperature, UV light or salinity, for example. Nowadays, plants are being pushed to their limits, making them more vulnerable. For the health and growth of a plant, stress needs to be avoided.

When a plant does start experiencing stress, the cells will start to produce more ATP (energy) to combat the stress in order to survive. Because of the extra hydrogen, more ATP is produced which consequently improves the plant tolerance to environmental stressors.

Hydrogen is what makes our product special, but the supplementation of oxygen is equally important. For this reason, we add both hydrogen and oxygen to the water.

With the patented gas infusion technology, we efficiently infuse substantial amounts of gas into the water. Because the nanobubble size is below 20 nanometres on average, more gas can be infused, and the bubbles will stay in the water much longer. A dissolved oxygen concentration of 200% is normally what we are aiming at.

With the HydrOxygen, you achieve the same benefits as with oxygen nanobubbles, but with the additional boost of hydrogen.

  • The supplementation of hydrogen results in a stronger, healthier plant with a higher resistance to possible infections. Furthermore, hydrogen boosts the energy production inside a plant, resulting in a yield increase up to 30%.

  • The main difference is the supplementation of hydrogen. With the HydrOxygen, you achieve the same benefits as with oxygen nanobubbles, but with the additional boost of hydrogen. This is done with a higher oxygen concentration than other units on the market whereby we bring the two gases more efficiently into the water, within much more and much smaller nanobubbles.

  • The HydrOxygen benefits all plants, flowers as well as vegetable plants. It has a small footprint and can be placed next to the day storage, for example, to circulate over the silo(s). Each situation is different, and we are more than happy to help you find the best solution for your greenhouse.

  • The overall operational expenses are low. Besides the use of energy, the only constant consumable is distilled water. We take this very pure water and split the H2O into hydrogen and oxygen gas. This is a cheap consumable and because it is done with the highest efficiency, the usage is low. Lastly, there are some small manual filters and a small UV lamp which will need to be replaced periodically. The PLC will send a notification when this is required to prevent unnecessary usage.

  • The HydrOxygen can treat almost every source of water. However, it is important to note that the best results are achieved in clean water, where no contaminants are present.
